4 Star R.B.A.V.(INC) June Championship Show held at Airport West in Melbourne, Victoria Judge: Scott Wiebensohn U.S.A. Date: 12/6/2011 Erinlea Jack - 4 star CC - Blue Minilop Buck Awarded 1st for the Adult Blue Minilop Section Awarded CC for Best Blue Minilop Best Adult Minilop Rabbit Best Minilop Rabbit - Best of Breed Best Lop in Show Runner Up Rabbit in Show (I would like to thank Helen Trewarn who by coincidence finished up handling Jack most of the day when he came to the table. She did a wonderful job and didn't over stimulate him. He is a very friendly bunny and enjoys the activity and interaction with people which is often his downfall on a show table.) Erinlea Adelaide - Blue Minilop Doe Awarded 2nd for the Adult Blue Minilop Section (I believe Adelaide is an improvement on her father Jack but she was competing out of her age bracket as she was maturing so quickly and I wasn't sure whether she would be over the 1.3 kg weight requirement for the under 5 month section, as we put the enteries in over a week before the show. Being an international judge I thought if all the bunnies were weighed then this could be an issue. It was a bit of an awkward age as she lacks the maturity in the head to compete with dad compared to her present body size at this age. All the same she is under 5 months old and done well to beat 3 other mature blue enteries she was competing against for second place. This was the expected result this time round against Jack , exactly how I would have placed them on the day. She will be a beautiful breed doe in the future here at Erinlea Rabbit Stud.) Erinlea Sydney - Blue Minilop Buck Awarded 1st for the Under 5 Months Blue Minilop Section (Once again Sydney is an awkward age. Like Adelaide his ears are small, round and flat, well forward, but has a stronger ear carriage than his father Jack and will I'm sure as he matures beat Jack. Sydney is also a better behaved rabbit on the show table. Jack is a lovable rabbit that wants to interact with people and the other competitor rabbits on the table. Jack looks his best at home quite relaxed and unstimulated by all the activity. I often think he should be judged in his show cage. Sydney was specifically bred to be more relaxed and show handler proof. I consider Sydney to also be an improvement on his father Jack. Look out Jack, you will be retiring soon.) Erinlea Iris - Blue Minilop Doe Awarded 1st for the under 14 weeks Blue Minilop Section Best Minilop under 14 weeks of age (Best Minilop under 14 weeks of age was a real surprise here, but when they were all lined up she looked fantastic, and to be the winner with a rounder, flater wider ear than the others. Even though she is a very nice blue doe she was an after thought as an entry. I had a whole selection of under 14 week blue does here to choose from that were all top notch of different lines. She had her litter sister I had sold on the table as a competitor, which I think came second to her. Nice to see I made the right choice as to which to keep as they were both very nice does. Out of all the under 14 week minilops that we entered I would have probably gone for Erinlea Ruskin before I left home without seeing them lined up together, but the difference being I'm privy to their development and I'm happier with him as an overall package. Ruskin and Iris will make a good match later in life. They were all such good quality enteries.) Erinlea Melbourne - 4 star CC - Seal Point Minilop Buck Awarded 1st for the Adult Seal Point Minilop Section Awarded CC for Best Seal Point Minilop Rabbit Erinlea Prince - 4 Star CC - Dark Siamese Sable/Seal Minilop Buck Awarded 1st for the Adult Siamese Sable Minilop Section Awarded CC for Best Siamese Sable Minilop Erinlea Ruskin - Dark Siamese Sable/Seal Minilop Buck Awarded 1st for the Under 14 Weeks Siamese Sable Minilop Section (This little fella is Prince's little brother. He was given this name in honour of Phil Batey who on his last tour of Australia really liked Prince. Ruskin has a beautiful litter mate buck who is a smoke pearl named Droopy Ears who's lop and ear set is perfect and strong. I never entered him not knowing that the shaded section would be split so many different ways and there would be so many different colour sections to compete in. Ruskin was the lighter in weight between the two brothers and hence he got to travel to the show. Smoke pearls and blue points are a speciality here but didn't take any for competition.) Erinlea Tyson - 4 Star CC - Sooty Fawn Minilop Buck Awarded 1st for the Under 5 Months Sooty Fawn Minilop Section Awarded CC for Best Sooty Fawn Minilop (This little fella was a last pick of a litter of three before I sold his mum on to another breeder. I often get sentimental like this. I really like the fact that he has no white under his tail which is undesirable in this colouring. He has very thick skin in his ears like his mum, but his ears are shorter, better shaped and flat. He is at an awkward age at the moment and quite young still and will only get better from here. I have a much better sooty fawn adult doe here that is a half sister to him that is supposed to be a mother by now that would beat him on the show table, hands down. I've never shown her as she would have competed against the other good Erinlea boys in the shaded section in TVRAI shows. Being a buck though I gave Tyson the opportunity to prove himself, which he did over 8 other enteries which was a fabulous unexpected result.) Erinlea Forest - Blue Fox Minilop Buck Awarded 3rd for the Adult Tan Pattern Minilop Section (This fella is still young and needs good handling to do that well on the show table. He would have been a bit overwhelmed and pulled his ears back as I wasn't handling him, and would not have put his best look forward so this is a good result for him. He has a perfect minilop coat as far as texture and density is concerned according to expert minilop judges. For the new minilop breeders out there that are unsure about a desired minilop coat he is a good bunny to hunt down at a show and run your fingers through his coat and watch how it moves.) Erinlea Crosby - 4 Star CC - Chocolate Minilop Buck Awarded 1st for the Adult Chocolate Minilop Section Best Chocolate Minilop Erinlea Hershey - Chocolate Minilop Doe Awarded 1st for the Under 5 Months Chocolate Minilop Section (Hershey came second to Crosby for the CC challenge) Erinlea Ginger - Orange Butterfly Minilop Doe Awarded 2nd for Adult Any Other Colour Minilop Rabbit Erinlea Oscar - Opal Minilop Buck Awarded 1st for Under 14 Weeks Agouti Patterned Minilop Rabbit Nemesis Diamonte - 4 Star CC - Ivory Satin Buck Awarded 1st for Adult Ivory Satin Rabbit Awarded CC for the Best Ivory Satin Rabbit Powder Puff Queen O Diamonds - Ivory Satin Doe Awarded 1st for Under 5 months Ivory Satin Rabbit Powder Puff Wild Sensation - Agouti Pattern Satin Buck Awarded 2nd for the Agouti Patterned Satin Rabbit Powder Puff Sylviana - Black Dutch Rabbit Doe Awarded 2nd for the Adult Black/Blue Dutch Rabbit Erinlea Abel - 4 Star CC - Black Dutch Rabbit Buck Awarded 1st for the Under 14 Weeks Black/Blue Dutch Rabbit Awarded CC for Best Black/Blue Dutch Rabbit |
